YOUTH TO YOUTH

Youth 2 Youth was founded in 1982 in Columbus, Ohio, as a community-based drug prevention and youth leadership program focusing primarily on middle school and high school students. The goal of its many initiatives is to harness the powerful influence of peer pressure, making it a positive force that encourages young people to live free of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs.

Community Alliances for Drug Free Youth's Youth to Youth Program is a research-based program that provides opportunity for young people to be empowered and enabled to become strong, productive leaders, striving to make a difference in their local communities and in our world. The young people who have stayed involved in Youth to Youth throughout the years have increased their commitment from living free from alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, to include gaining meaningful connections with students from different communities. These youth have learned to embrace cultural diversity, take a stand for their beliefs and are making a difference in their communities everyday. Youth to Youth has become a cornerstone in many of these young people's lives.
